Chula Vista City School District, CA.
Teachers in the Chula Vista Rosebank Title IV Project, Individual Diagnosis and Prescription for a Total School, use these test manuals and corresponding teaching guides to measure and improve reading and mathematics skills of students, kindergarten through junior high school. Parts I and III contain tests and directions for administering the tests, and forms for recording beginning-of-year instructional level and for monitoring progress throughout the year. Based upon a continuum of 61 skills, the four reading tests cover: words in isolation; auditory and visual discrimination; comprehension; and structural analysis and locational skills. The two mathematics tests, computation and concepts and applications, cover arithmetic; geometry; measurement; problem solving; probability and statistics; relations and functions; and logical thinking. Parts II and IV contain learning activities, instructional games, parent activities, information on learning centers, and references to textbooks commonly used by the Chula Vista City School District. All correspond to the skill deficiencies diagnosed in parts I and III. (CP)
