Faculty Trust in the Principal
Susan Huff Douglas
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi
Due to the increasing number of teachers leaving their profession, understanding the impact of faculty trust in principals is critical. This study utilized a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive approach to explore key factors influencing teacher-principal trust among educators in low-income schools within the Education Service Center, Region 2. The conceptual framework was based on Hoy's Five-Concept Trust Model. The study involved 77 teachers currently employed in the region who completed a demographic questionnaire and the Omnibus T-scale survey. A one-way ANOVA analysis revealed no significant differences in trust levels related to the percentage of students receiving free or reduced meals or the teachers' years of experience.
