Effects of Covert and Overt Rehearsal Strategies Used To Complement Visualization Possessing Differing Amounts of Realistic Detail.
Dwyer, Carol A.; Dwyer, Francis; Moore, Michael
International Journal of Instructional Media, v20 n1 p53-59 1993
Investigates the effects of different amounts of realism in visuals and the integration of rehearsal activity into visually-complemented prose instruction. Participants were 128 university students. Findings indicate that different levels of realism in visuals, and overt and covert rehearsal strategies are not equally effective in facilitating students' achievement of different types of educational objectives.
