The references and annotations in this student aid bibliography are organized in seven major categories based on primary content or emphasis: (1) sources of program information; (2) the history, philosophy, and purpose of student aid; (3) financial aid administration, management, and problems; (4) financial aid administration as a profession; (5) federal and state issues and problems in student aid; (6) financial aid and financing postsecondary education; and (7) research on financial aid. The literature included is generally fugitive literature, but a criterion for inclusion is that the item must be accessible through collegiate libraries, the ERIC Clearinghouse on Higher Education, federal libraries, or publishers. Most were produced after 1969. A brief introduction is given for each category and subcategory of items. (MSE)
