Why Can't We All Just Get along? Accepting and Supporting Affective and Cognitive Diversity in Creative Students
Cramond, Bonnie
Understanding Our Gifted, v23 n3 p8-12 Spr 2011
In this article, the author talks about celebrating the differences of all gifted students. Rather than isolate or ridicule creative individuals, people need to recognize that the very characteristics that enable creative people to think originally may cause them to be seen as different and even bizarre. She suggests that people need to accept and support affective and cognitive diversity in creative students. She offers some tips on how parents and teachers can support creative children.
