This volume is comprised of the following sections: study background and purpose; definition and measurement of faculty development; faculty development at the University of California (programs, expenditures, and participation in instruction-related faculty development); faculty development at California State University (programs, expenditures, and participation in instruction-related faculty development); faculty development at the California Community Colleges (programs, expenditures, and participation in instruction-related faculty development); and perceived needs for faculty development (by faculty and administrators).
