American Psychological Association
As countries around the world, including the United States, continue to navigate a return to work, family, education, and leisure after the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the American Psychological Association provides this resource for educators and families to promote mental health and academic success for students worldwide. Based on current psychological and educational research, this document provides information about how students can benefit from five identified areas: (1) classroom instruction; (2) community outreach and connection; (3) mental health and well-being; (4) the promotion of science-based information; and (5) technology. The lessons learned and resources provided are intended to serve as a foundation for educators, which will be supplemented with additional resources as more is learned about how the short- and long-term effects of COVID-19 affect families.
