The five broad conceptual themes for environmental education and energy conservation recommended by the Illinois State Plan for Environmental Education for developing and implementing environmental education into all school subjects are listed. Survey responses of 50 State Directors of Special Education indicated wide discrepancies among states in how extended year services for severely handicapped students are provided.
