Young Artists is the annual exhibition of student art work from the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, public schools, which is displayed from late May to early September in the museum of the Philadelphia Civic Center. The program is described and some of the winning artwork is reproduced. (RM)

A competitive art project which involved high school students in creating a hamburger out of any kind of materials they wanted is described. The results were very creative. In one related activity, students were asked to write a creative hamburger recipe. Some of the rather curious results are reproduced here. (RM)

The program for academically gifted and talented at Kellogg Elementary School in Michigan includes an open house for parents.
