This directory is designed to assist local action groups (existing local alliances; science mathematics, and technology teachers; superintendents, principals, and supervisors; guidance counselors and resource specialists; and university and college professors) in making contact with the local structure of the Triangle Coalition for Science and Technology Education's national members. Each member organization is listed with a brief description of goals, kind of members, local structure, local and regional facilities, general commitment to precollege science education, typical resources shared, examples of activities supported, and protocol for personal contact. A special section includes entries for some of the local alliances affiliated with the Triangle Coalition. The introduction discusses how to use the directory; views from business and industry about contributing to education programs; principles for building and maintaining local alliances; and the main objectives of the Triangle Coalition.
