Increase of Apparent Adjustment in Adolescence by Further Ego Identity Formation and Age
Schubert, Daniel S. P.
College Student Journal, 7, 4, 3-5, Nov/Dec 73
Freshmen entering a large northeastern university in 1969 scored higher on the clinical MMPI scales than students transferring to the same university. Men and women freshmen each scored signigicantly higher on the paranoia, psychasthenia and schizophrenia scales than transfer students. Transfer students were thought to have progressed further towards ego identity formation than the freshmen. (Author/EK)
