Cooperative Learning and Preservice Elementary Teacher Science Self-Efficacy.
Scharmann, Lawrence C.; Hampton, Colleen M. Orth
Journal of Science Teacher Education, v6 n3 p125-33 Sum 1995
Conducted a study to examine the influence of grouping, by means of cooperative learning, on elementary preservice teachers' (n=84) science teaching efficacy. Confirms the relative superiority of heterogeneous cooperative learning. Concludes that a well-designed science teaching methods experience can enhance the development of science teaching self-efficacy and outcome expectancy among preservice elementary teachers. (JRH)
