The Ukrainian supplementary resources guide lists print and non-print resources selected for their appropriateness for Alberta's three- and six-year secondary school Ukrainian second-language programs and locally developed upper elementary programs. It is intended to assist teachers in locating resources for students and for their own use. Listings are divided into three broad categories: language development, culture, and general reference. Materials types include textbooks, readers, storybooks, monographs, films, filmstrips, flashcards, periodicals, and tape recordings. Each entry gives standard bibliographic information, information on special features, the language used, an evaluative rating (excellent, very good, or good), difficulty level, subject area, and an annotation suggesting its fit with the curriculum and describing the content. Appended materials include a subject index, a list of publishers' and distributors' addresses, and a listing of relevant community resources. (MSE)
