In releasing individual data for statistical analysis by outsiders, deletion of direct personal identifiers is sometimes insufficient to preserve confidentiality. This study discusses procedures for analyzing data from confidential files while preserving individual anonimity. Recommendations for specific procedures are made. (Author/JKS)
